The work

Five ways we turn a night into the story everyone tells.

01

Outdoor Shows

Sky-scale beams over open-air crowds. We design to your site, your skyline, your soundtrack.

02

Festival Productions

Main-stage laser environments built for tens of thousands. Engineered to hit every drop.

03

Community & NYE

Countdowns and council events the whole town turns out for — and talks about all year.

04

Corporate Events

Launches and galas with branded laser content your guests will post before dessert.

05

Projection Mapping

Buildings turned into canvases, mapped to the millimetre.

Why lasers

Why lasers, not fireworks?

Because your show should run on your terms — not the weather’s.

Any weather, every time

Wind cancels fireworks. Your laser show runs in any conditions, guaranteed.

Perfect, every night

Programmed to the microsecond. Your second show is identical to your first.

Millions of colours

Full RGB spectrum, not the dozen shades a shell can manage.

Silent. Clean. Approved.

No bang, no fallout, no cleanup — and far fewer permits to fight for.

Costs less at scale

Our hardware runs show after show. You’re not burning the budget — literally.

Common questions

Questions, answered.

How much does a laser show cost?+
It depends on duration, complexity, and location. Entry-level shows start from around $3,000–$5,000 for smaller events; large-scale festival productions are scoped individually. Tell us your event and we’ll come back with a fast, obligation-free quote.
Can laser shows be done indoors?+
Yes — indoor environments often produce the most dramatic results. Clubs, arenas, theatres, conference centres, warehouses. We assess atmospheric haze requirements and safety sightlines for every indoor venue.
Are laser shows safe for audiences?+
Absolutely. Every show is designed to strict ILDA (International Laser Display Association) safety standards. We hold full public liability insurance and produce a safety plan for every event.
How far in advance do we need to book?+
For major events, 3–6 months is ideal to allow for design and programming time. That said, we’ve turned around shows in under 2 weeks for the right brief. Get in touch early to lock in your date.
Do you operate outside of Australia?+
Yes — we regularly produce shows across New Zealand and can mobilise for international events. We’ve deployed across the Pacific region. Contact us to discuss logistics and freight.
Is Flying Pictures connected to the UK company?+
No. Flying Pictures Australia is an independently owned Australian company. There is a separate aerial photography company called Flying Pictures in the UK — we’re not affiliated. We operate solely in the AU/NZ entertainment and events industry.
